i just bought a 1997 corvette and i was considering getting a new exhaust for it. i've looked into a couple of different manufacturers and i think i like the B&B and the SLP exhausts the most. i was wondering what everyone's opinions of the two were. does one provide more performance or a better
sound, or is there something better? all input is welcome

i've been to the b&b website and heard their sound clip, but i cant find one of the slp. i've also seen a lot of good write ups about the bullet, but i noticed that the loudmouth is more of a straight through exhaust with no resonators or mufflers, so i dont know if it gives more sound or performance.
if anyone has heard both or has clips of both let me know.
thanks

I just put B&B Bullets on mine and I like it. It sounds so much better & louder than stock. I have heard the SLP's and they sound really good also, but the ones I heard were connected to x-pipe and long tubes so it may be a little different.
good luck on your choice.

for the links you sent, is it on a corvette? and has anything been done to it or is it stock?

Here's the big difference, SLP screams "I'm coming for your daughter" in a very unrefined and tacky way. B&B is agressive yet refined if you want a smooooth mean sound

You shouldn't rule out GHL's.I have them on my C5 Z06 and they rule.....I am also putting them on my incoming C6 Z06.

I've got the slp loudmouth with, H pipe, and hi flow cats, and I love it, it sounds deep and loud, the cons are it's almost too loud, and drones at cruise.

I got to add Corsa to the list, don`t rule them out.
Unique sound, zero resonance at cruise, even with no cats this exhaust (pace car version) is great.
Idle is awesome, had many compliments.
Stomp on it and your eyes will get wide, sounds wicked...:flex:

We're holding a GP on our GMS C5 exhaust. Check out the link and listen to how it sounds in the 3 videos I posted.

Corsa Pace car edition are perfect for me, droan, No, nun, nada, get on them and they scream, my wife was behind me on the highway the other , she was probably 7 to 10 car lengths behind me, and she said she knew when I was going to pass someone because she could hear it all thew way back by her, had Bullets, loved the way they sounded, but droan was WAY to much for my wife, and even to much for me.Plus dont need the hassles with the Leo's. My stepson just bought a 98 TA and wants to get a new exhaust, I told him he has to get Corsa's, they rock

When I was looking into buying an 02 Z06 the guy was trying to sell me on the fact it had "the best" exhaust the car could have on it. It was a Corsa and I honestly laughed when he sat in the car and reved it up, I swear the thing sounded stock.
I have the SLP Loudmouth 1 on my Formula. I think it's the best sounding exhaust on the market if you plan on keeping your manifolds and cats. If you swap out cats and go with headers than it does get kind of raspy and poppy. Very loud and aggressive either way though. It's all what you like I guess.

I would go with the Bullet over the Loudmouth. I personally have the SLP Powerflo and really like it alot.

Can't beat our completely stainless steel kit for $450 for ls1.com users. I'd strongly recommend anyone who's looking for a C5 exhaust to take a look at ours.

slp no fuss no muss but change that intake first to make the hp. go with the lightest exhaust ,slp used to be the cheapest they all make the same increase [if any] slp,s are rude

I have the SLPs and maybe swapping them out for BORLA in the future. I love the sound, but it is getting kind of old now. Plus I love the BORLA dual look!

not a vette owner but damn, i cannot believe that no one has said anything about the amount of built up condensation in the first video clip that came out of the tips when he started it up. no car should be gushing that amount of water, ever, period. i was looking to see if he had hooked up a garden hose somewhere in his set-up...
