Got a buddy thats convinced he's going to either out run me or at least stay dead even. My cars stock. Though I'll have TSP 1 7/8 LT's, ORY, and catback along with a mail-order tune from Frost all on the car Friday (everything will be here/back tomorrow). So, opinions on how it'll go? We'll be lining them up either friday nite or sometime saturday. His is bone stock with brand new tires. and i'm an M6.

They run about 14.3 E.T at about 98 MPH bone stock you will easily pull on him and with the mods you have on your car you will destroy him, lol. Stock they pull about 303 hp and dont know the torque i think about 320, but still not enough to be able to pull on you or keep up. With the mods you are gonna do to your ride by friday you should be at 330 RWHP atleast.

Had a friend with an 07 Monte SS, mild mods (muffler swap, CAI, and mild tune) and ran a 13.6. They have potential, but its wrong wheel drive.

K. well, assuming the weather clears up by saturday, we'll see :D. I will say i do know he's beaten a couple stock ls1's. But, all were A4's, and had 2 or 3 ppl in the vehicle while he was in the GXP by himself.

Yea, our cars are already pretty fat, weight wise. It doesn't help to have a passenger, and the A4 stock, is kinda weak imo. I didn't enjoy mine till after the stall.

It was probably the same guy. He had a laser blue one and a burgandy one. The blue one had those mods listed above. He now uses the red one as his winter DD.... he just got a procharged 06 GTO..... :nilly:

Well, it went well..
1st run -- 20mph roll
I hooked for a change, put a car between us. broke tires loose as soon as i hit second, let it spin all the way thru second (was still pulling somewhat decent) and kept the car length i had. Hit third, started pulling on him. Had about 4 lengths between us by the time i hit 4th.
2nd run -- dig
Spun off the launch, feathered it all the way thru first staying even. Pulled a couple of cars thru second, then a couple more thru third.
We ended all these runs before 100mph due to me not having a front sway bar yet. gets iffy and wobbly at anything over 100.

Tell your friend to take it easy on the trans in that GXP,they don't hold up well. Just spent 1700 on a rebuild for the wifey's GXP and only 38000 on the clock.

Hold on good. Getting them on on the other hand is a royal pain. Passenger side went like a breeze (with coil packs and starter removed to have more room to work).
drivers side was another story. ended up having to have a full 22inches between the ground and bottom of car, and also had to remove the oil filter and drain plug to get the angel i needed to get them in.
All in all though, i love them. running them open has an awesome pitch to it. Y-Pipe and hooker cat-back are going on today hopefully (if the cat-back comes in).

Yeah its like a 4T65E, they put the same things in like grand prix's and luminas and monte carlos. Blow up all the time, even on easy driving. They should have made the GXP rwd, or fwd with a stick. crazy engineers.

Yeah the trans is a piece of crap. The overall design of the car is not bad, even if it is front wheel drive.
