Can someone tell me how I might go through lowering my 1998 Camaro with the factory stock 1LE suspension package? I have been wanting to lower it some for a long time now and am finally going to do something about it...if I can be sure that I know what I am doing. Is this a do-it-yourself type of job or should I take it to a shop somewhere in the DFW metroplex? Any recommendations of a good shop around here???

LOL @ your avatar
google, Sam Strano-ever since i've spoke to him, my eyes have been opened when it comes to f-body suspension. Just get ready for a very VERY long winded conversation.

I'd recommend talking to Sam Strano as well. You can get contact info on his website www.stranoparts.com. I talked to him for about 30 min and learned a TON of information.

LG Motorspost is in Texas... great shop.
If you have the 1LE, I think that implies you have the Koni DAs shocks.
Just get a set of linear springs and go for it... such as prokits.

Great shop, but reallllllll proud of their parts/work, to the point that only wealthy, upper-middle-aged, greying Corvette owners can afford their work. That has been my experience, anyway.
Yes, I do have the DA shocks with the 1LE package. Everyone agrees with Eugenio's post then??? :approved: I like to get 2nd, 3rd opinions, although, from what I have seen in previous posts/threads, Euge seems pretty knowledgeable about the subject!
