hey everyone quick question..... went to the dealership to get some dextron 3 tranny fluid like it says in the manual and they said they no longer carry it. they recommended using dextron 6 since it has advanced formulas and they use it on all fluid changes now. would this be ok or should i try to find a place that has dextron 3?

Dexron 6 should be fine to use in your transmission.

It supercedes Dexron III, meaning its backwards compatible in the automatic transmissions.

ok cool. figured it would be ok but wanted to hear from a few f-body drivers first
