I have a 2001 Trans Am. I have done a few mods.... Headers, cat back exhaust, induction, computer tuning, 3.42 gears, sub frame connectors, replaced torque arm, box welded lca's, 17x11 rear tires, and a rear end girdle. Next week I am putting in a SS3600 Yank torque converter. I was wondering if you guys think my stock transmission and 10 bolt rear end will be able to handle everything. Please let me know what you guys think.

I think your tranny will hold for a while. But if you hook real good. You rear could be toast.

I've seen some rears last and some that dont. I think is the luck of the draw. I am cutting 1.68 60' with mods in sig and have been OK. I have only run it maybe 10 times down the track though. I also have a TA rear cover for added protection. I run street tires most of the time but at the track Im running Nito 555r's. Run it til you break it!

My car with similar mods has been fine so far...rarely sees the track though...if you race alot you're going to break something regardless...I have a "fund" put aside just in case. Like onyx_rock says - "Run it til you break it!"

My car has never seen the track, but once that converter goes in, I want to see what she'll run. I am hoping to break into the 12s. I also have something similar to your TA cover only mine is made by Lingenfelter Engineering. I don't race, the car is mostly a "take it out every now and then" car.

the trans should be fine.
its luck of the draw with rears.
the more you abuse the car, the more chance the rear will go.
