Wheel shakes when braking

Does it mean my fronts are warped? No track time recently. I have Powerslots on all 4 corners with ceramic C5 pads up front.

Side question, can you get slotted rotors turned?

you rotors may be warped, idk if slotted ones can be turned i'd imagine so

if the steering wheel shakes when braking the front rotors are probably the shake.to be positive check all your front end parts tie rods,ball joints, and hub bearings.

Yup...my 13" Baers do the same thing....but not really bad enough to piss me off.....
Now I have "heard" of some folks taking the rotors off and reinstalling them ....careful of the torque and the shake was minimized......yes you can turn slotted rotors....

Are they doing it when they are hot? I have a Baer 13in w/slots set-up on another car of mine and if I'm cruising on the highway and the brakes are cold I get a little pulsation from them until they heat up.

Yup...that is exactly what mine do....

Just spoke with Ken over at PowerSlot. Gave me a bunch of good info (except a warranty).

Basically, he recommends NOT using ceramic pads on PowerSlots (or other slotted rotors). Ceramic pads are insulated and hold heat, which could damage rotors.

Wish I knew that when I ran out to get ceramic pads for my new powerslots.

I know alot of dudes out there think ceramic is the best (like me) but I have been "learned" otherwise.

Time to buy two new rotors and the Hawk HPS pads.

Also the stock radius arm bushings cause some shake . My morse C5 pads shake on my stock rotors..which will soon go bye bye.

i bet the rotors are fine dump the morse and go with a qulity / high abrasion pad (like hps) and your gold

When I had a tire fixed at NTB, they re-torqued the wheels, and the shake seems to be gone.

I will upgrade to hawks and new rotors (just in case) as soon as Uncle Sam is paid.
