Was sup everyone, im new to the F-body scene. I have a 96 Firebird with the 3.8 V6 and a 5spd. Car runs great and all, but recently the car was getting kind of hard to get into gears. Wasnt that bad, until yeserday now i cant get into any gears! The fluid was dark so i completely drained it and bled it. It still doesnt go into gear. Clutch pedal feels light, no force on pedal. I cant see no leaks. I was wondering if there is a special way of bleeding the system. I just open the bleeder and have someone press the pedal down, than repeat. Also i notice the fluid comin out, isnt shooting out with force, just kinda pooring out lightly. I dont know whats up, i cant move it. SO my questions are, its there a special way of bleeding??? Is my slave clyinder bad??? also, can u adjust the pedal somewhere?? Thanks everyone.

:dunno: Good luck on that one. To my knowledge you're bleeding it correctly, so I have no idea. I'd be afraid the clutch went out if you can't go into any gear.

Sounds like a combo of things. Since its a used car, there is no telling how the current clutch was treated. It sounds like two things. One is the Clutch disc is badly worn, hence the inability to properly disengage the tranny from the flywheel, and two, slave cylinder with line restriction. I would recommend changing the clutch and slave cylinder/throwout bearing. while you are at it, do a drill mod to your steel braided line going to your slave/bearing.
Spec 2 or 3 is reputable, beware Centerforce on our cars. -Tim
