ok i have a 96 montecarlo as my winter beater and its leaking tranny fluid from the radiator area.....has been for a few weeks.......well a few days ago i checked the tranny fluid dipstick....down 1 pt.....so i add a pint........well now im noticing the tranny having all sorts of problems shifting.....downshifting/upshifting everything.......even when im cruising slowing down it jerks a lil trying to find the right gear......is my tranny fucked? do i have to much fluid in there? dip stick shows its ok.....car has close to 90k miles on it....im curious if i should jsut dump it as its prolly only worth 1000 bucks and not worth putting a new tranny in......been thinking about getting a zr2 blazer for yrs......few for sale in my area the moment.....thanks for anyones help that replys

My guess is that it has run low and burned up the clutches/torque converter. Might have air bubbles in it though. Check the cooler(radiator) for leaks. Add more fluid and see if it goes away. If not then you have your answer :)
