coverting an auto trans to manual

Anyone on here swap out a 4l60 E to a manual 6 speed trans on a fromula? I recetly bought a 98 t/a formula automatic and really am thinking about trying this conversion (if its not to involved) Would it be as simple as dropping the auto and installing the manual, or does the computer need reprogramming, what else?? I know the console is different, the clutch peddle essembly, shifter... thx

About the worst part is cutting the whole for the master cylinder I'd say. I think you do infact have to change the harness though. Not 100% sure though.
