Allright fellas, my intake should be in early next week. I have heard there were other things I need to buy in order to install this intake on my car. Something about EGR adapter? If anybody has installed this intake on a 99 Z28, I would appreciate your input. Plus, I would appreciate any helpful advice on a quick and painless install.

get a oil pressure switch which is at the back of the manifold just in case it breaks good to have in hand instead of running all over town looking for one
just go to dealer 56.00

That would be a good idea. I broke mine when I pulled my intake off. Got in a hurry and forgot about it. Do away with your EGR and don't worry about it. Just have it deleted and go on. That is what I done when I put headers on my 00 SS. I had to block off the intake with a freeze plug. Blocked off the tubes on my headers.

Has the part numbers for the coolant plugs and front pipe. If you bought the slp ls6 they are supplied with the manifold.

Depends on if you want to keep EGR or not and what LS6 intake you bought. SLP sells one that will fit cars with EGR. If you didn't get that one, then the regular 01-02 LS6 intakes won't have provisions for EGR, so you'll have to drill out a hole in the manifold for your EGR tube. If you want to ditch EGR, now would be the time to do it. You can remove the solenoid, patch off the hole in the exhaust manifold, and have the codes tuned out of it.

And pertaining to the oil pressure sending unit - just go slow when you are removing the intake. Be gentle pulling it out and never force it. When you put the new one on, be careful not to pinch the pressure sending unit wires in between the manifold and the engine.

I have done 2 intake swaps, a motor swap (in and out with sensor on block), and then installed the new intake on the new motor without breaking the oil pressure sending unit.
Just be careful.

Awesome! Thanks everybody! Gonna just delete the EGR and try to be careful with the oil pump thingy.
