alright, I have looked everywhere and can not seem to find a straight answer (or concensus) on the proper methods for using a polisher and Zaino. Here is what I have put together so far:
1. Wash with Dawn
2. Clay bar the car
2a. Wash car again???
3. Use PC and a high cut pad (Sonus orange) with (?) polish
4. Use PC with a medium cut pad (Sonus green) and Z-PC Fusion.
5. Use Zaino Z2 or Z5 with Zfx by hand using a polishing applicator.
6. Repeat step 5 with Z-6 or Z-8 between coats.

Any use for the Sonus blue pad? Any steps left out?

Please let me know if this sounds right.

Also, what happened to the guy named ZainO that new all kinds of stuff on detailing?

I'd leave out #3 unless you have lots of scratches or swirls.
The blue pad is used more for appling a wax or sealant (very fine).

i use zaino myself ,my steps r for 1st time use use dawn to wash then clay then wash again with the zaino wash i believe its z-7 then i dont have the z-fx yet so i use the z-1 lock solution followed by z-5 let it sit for a good hour or so depending on the temp, wipe down my car with a cotton towel then use z-6 to get off any left over wax i might have missed..i myself owning a blk car wash and wax alot so i do this 1st step every 6 months but between the 6 months just was reg followed by the polish steps.when my z-1 and z-5 run out im ordering z-fx and z-2.the z-5 works great for fine scratches and swirls u might have on a dark color car.after the first try i notice a huge difference in using zaino compared to other wax and polish stuff u find in any parts store.the more u use it the better it gets.i think i must of waxed it 25 times so far in 2005 im sure 2006 will be more.i have people saying to me hey dude u gonna dry your car its looks wet or dam u just get that car painted.i just tell em nope its the wax i use along with some T.L.C. to think my baby is 7 years old just wish i knew about zaino when i first got my car.its the only product ill ever use again
