just got a red/red/ 2005 gto 6spd

Just got back from the dealership--only had 200 miles on it---red with red interior and 6 spd---post pics as soon as sun comes up tommorrow---i gotta findm 4 oem t/a wheels/tires to take to the dealer tommorrow so i can get my brand new 20's with less then 500 miles off my trade inwhich was a 99 t/a---the salesman said just bring 4 16x8 pontiac oems with tires that have tread--he said as long as they're not bald i gotta get on that--it would be great if the 20's fit on the gto---but someone told me they might not---we'll see

ta i'm gonna see what they'll look like anyway with 20's on the goat--i got them back from the dealer yesterday--they are black with a polished alluminum 2" lip 20 x 8.5's--if they don't look good maybe i'll have them powdercoated torrid red to match the car---if they look stupid i'll just roll with the 17's that are on from the factory---i got almost 300 miles on it already---it came with 200 on the car when i got it---really like the suede they put on the doors ---coool

In the two years I have been active in the GTO forums...I have yet to see a 20" tire on one...so you breaking new ground here....

I was out washing car yesterday and wedging my hand inside rear fenderwell with a sponge and i am getting the feeling this ain't gonna work--there is absolutely no extra room and the gto is not like the t/a these rear tires move in and out, (independantly)---i have a feeling that this is going to be like cramming 3 lbs. of poop in a 2 lbs. bag---we'll see

Yup....but good news is I think it can be done.....
Koni adjustable/Stiffer Rear Springs.....poly bushings....
roll the fenders....is the only hope outside of getting the blow torch out....

THose 20's didn'tlook bad on the T/A, but I think they would be to much on the Goat. Nice ride though. Good luck on your modding.
