Ss ?????

I bought what I thought was a 98 z-28 SS, but I am not for certain.
I don't see any stickers or tags people are talking about. I have my Vin #
it is 2g1fp22g0w2137841, If anyone can give me any information I would appreciate it very much.

Aside from the stickers, you should have other options to go off of. Super Sport is mainly an appearance package, so if it's claimed to be an SS, you should have the SS Ram Air hood, the curved rear spoiler and the 17" wheels. Does you car at least have these?

Yes sir, it has the z-r1 wheels, the hood, and of course the badges. and the curved spoiler. I just wondered if there was a way to find out if it is a true SS???
I am pretty sure it is, I guess the stickers could come off by chance.

maybe the door was painted=accidents, sorry holmes. same thing happened to my ride...didn't know until after the fact. Slick way to check is the air box on the front should be about 1.25" or 1.5" i think? thats definatly an SS air box then.

from what i heard u can contact slp performance they have a site and u give em your vin num and 40 bux or sumtin and theyll tell you all the slp options and your ss build number if its a real ss..

this is the only ONLY true way to check if you have a ss, look on the RPO code sheet on the driver's door, one of the codes should be WU8 which means your car has the ss package.

,My friend had one of the computer things you plug into your cigarette lighter, It tells you your quarter mile speed, 1/8, horsepower etc. I don't know how accurate it is but it said I ran a 13.58 in the quarter at 104.1 miles per hour, 8.85 in the 1/8 and 324 Horse at 4500 RPM's. This is as far as I know all stock with street tires. Well other than Magnaflow exhaust.
I have a pic of it but I don't know how to get it on here.

115000, I drove it off the lot for $7500, so I gave a little over 7000 for it counting the tax title and license. I think I did pretty good on it.

If the 98 SS was ordered with SLP add on's then there is a SLP sticker in the door or if no add ons were ordered there is no sticker and it is a base model SS. Congrats on the SS
