well tomorrow evening the dude wants to run again because he got a new intercooler and is getting a tune saturday and wants to do a before tune after tune race and tomorrow it should happen. i think i might get killed, his new top mount (shoulda got a front mount) helps him alot better and he has gotten better at driving:( wish me luck guys, hopefully i get a video of how i lose

I wouldn't worry about it.
As long as you can drive you should still kill him. AWD is like training wheels for people who can't launch a real car ;)
Even if he outlaunches you, you should still easily blow by him within a 1/4 mile.

your chances of winning are pretty good. but dont count him out just yet. the sti's can be quick for sure. not sure how much he can pick up just on his intercooler swap. did he do the alky inj also?

no, but he says around 20 hp. he wants to go from a 35 punch which is damn good for me. he has recently discovered how to brake boost real good

automatics are the only ones i know that can BRAKE BOOST. what exactly are you refering too?
if he is a stick shift the only way he will build boost is with a launch control 2 step. from a dead stop.

o i c. no no he gonna brake boost from the 35 roll so there is no turbo lag. otherwise i think that is kinda a dead spot for him.
also thanks maurice!

Thats stupid of him to not go frount mount if he picked up a new intercooler. But regardless, its gonna be a very close race. If both launches are equal, and its very possible that they will be, then i have a feeling its who can row gears faster but those trannies are very short too so thats an advantage. From a roll i couldnt even really say but i think you should edge him out.

From a roll you'll win ! A dig, will be hard if he figures out how to launch. If he's stage 2 with a bigger IC he's probably gonna put down 310+whp which is about a 12.5-12.9 for STi's on a stock turbo !

I think they mean brake boosting from a roll, holding the gas and brakes at same time to build boost.

+1 Got a buddy with a supra who does that. Kinda pisses me off cus thats how wins so many races that he shouldnt and shuts down early before you can reel him back in
