Do I have distributor caps on my 2000 3.8? I don't know what they are but I need to know if I have them.

I think the 2000 3.8 has a distributor-less ignition system. There should be a coil pack some where, I cant remember where at the moment. Trace the plug wires back to the source, You should be able to find out that way.

It has coil packs. If I remember correctly there should be 3 of them (1 coil pack for 2 cylinders). They are located on the drivers side up close to the firewall.

If you have coil packs then you have no disributor or rotor for your ignitoin system. P.M. me if you would like me to help you learn move about your car.
