View Full Version : Wheel Opinions?
First off let me explain. I found a guy locally with these wheels. They are 17x11, and 17x9's. They come with new tires. The guy is only asking $775. I like the look of them, plus no-one has them. What do you all think? They would be going on my white SS. And I'm actually leaning towards the idea of painting the centers black.

I'm a 5 spoke kind of guy. Always have been. Wheels like those just look too busy to me for some reason. That and they're a PITA to keep clean.

they don't look good on a Camaro. They'd probably look great on a ricer. Just not tough looking on a Camaro. They almost look like spokes, and that's a little too much mexicanish for me.
Disclaimer: I don't mean to bag on Mexicans. I'm simply stating there are certain trends that follow in different demographics, and this is one trend that seems to be prevalent with Mexicans.
I'm curious. What do you all think of CCW's? These wheels are very similar to the classics (which I originally wanted) minus $1800 though.

I dont like them. Your Ss would look a lot better in a 5 spoke or something more simple. Plus those rims look like they would be a pain to clean.
Well I got em...

too much of an exotic look to me. in my opinion, the 10-spoke SS wheels are the best on a camaro. plus you can get the silver painted ones dirt cheap.

I can't picture them on my SS. Try buying them, if you don't like them. Sell them on Ebay for more. My humble opinion.

i think a silver center cap would make them "blend" a little better into the car-they are so contrasty that it's hard to appreciate them...frankly, i'd say either lower the car or add a body kit and they would a shit load better. they jsut look a bit heavy. I'm really not opposed them, though-glad to see someone taking a chance on being different.

yeah, i like how deep-set they are, makes the car look kinda tough, but the center cap sticks out sooo much that it looks like a nipple =)

I'm sure most of you know about the new innovation in tires Michellin is developing. This just reminded me about it, and made me wonder...does anyone like the look of the new tires, or think that its going to look very ridiculous until people get used to it?
If you haven't seen the article, here it is http://www.michelinman.com/difference/releases/pressrelease01102005a.html

That does look rediculous...they could cover up the side so it at least looked half decent.

i need new tires now. thinkin' about some eagle gt's. but a tweel with better traction, handling and price- i'd look at 'em. lookin' a little diff is sometimes cool.
