Hi All,
I just bought an Ingersoll-Rand Impact wrench (231C). There is a zerk fitting on the back of it and the manual says to grease it every once in while with Ingersoll #100 grease.

Is this just regular grease like I'd use on a car, or is it something special? If I can just use my regular grease gun it would be so much simpler!!

Any help is appreciated!

wouldnt just use any grease, buy the stuff they recomend and also make sure you oil where the air fitting connects to everytime you use it.

also i just bought an IR air ratchet its awesome definatly highly recomend IR for air tools

Thanks! I do have a lubricator that attach's where the hose connects, so that's not a problem. If you happen to know of an online place where I can order the grease(gun) I'd appreciate hearing about it!

I'm really hoping an air-ratchet will be my next purchase!!

I worked with a guy who had the proper grease gun for this-it's different from any old grease gun or grease. He got it from the snap-on guy.

Thanks! I found some online and ordered it yesterday. At least I'll have the peace of mind of knowing I'm using the right grease! :)
