does anyone here know the tq limit of a stock 4l60e?

I had mine rebuilt with the beast clutch basket & some heavier internals, put a 4600 stall to it, and been beating it for years now. Still the original 98 tranny that came with the car ! I average 1.40 / 60's at the track. Good Transmission !!!

stock about 370 rwhp and torque properly built 600-700-800 rwhp can be handled

well would u happen to know the tq it can hold before it goes cuz correct me if im wrong but its the tq that kills ur tranny? and i see ur with performabuilt so i can ask u whats the best build u offer for the 4l60e and how much power can that take and how much would that run someone$?

GM rates to about the same torque
As for HP and TORQUE they are relative
weight of car
converter
rear gear ratio
the way the power comes on
But we do have cars running consistent low tens 10.14 with the levels 2 and 3 if that give you and idea and some claiming more

very nice! now that makes me wonder tho... whats ur level 1 build like if the other can hold a 10 sec run??

Bills98ta runs 10's and i must say scarys the hell out of you when your in the passenger seat and he pulls a wheelie on the street :) the performabilt trannys should hold anything you throw at them :)
