I have a 2000 Pontiac Trans Am, LS1, WS6, A4 (Automatic). Does anyone know what is the stock gears they put in these things? Will 3:73 help me in the quarter mile?
Thanks

3.23s were stock if you had the G92 option. Some A4s had 2.73s. Gears will help a lot but computer reprogramming is required to correct the speedo and shift points.

I have a 98 A4 just recently had my 3:23's removed and replaced with 4:10's and love it, just waiting for my HP Tunner to come in to retune the car.

If this is a track only car go with the 4.10's if you care at all about gas mileage or drive on the freeway then go with the 3.73's. yes this will help your 1/4 times.

I would couple the gear change with a TC change, best bang for the buck (TC), I waited too long to do it.
